The all-day event netted over $110,000. The tournament has raised over $1.6 million to date for the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Physicians Endowment, which provides continuing education opportunities for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System staff.<\/p>\r\n<p>Played over both championship courses at Laurel Oak Country Club, The Golf Tournament is the annual collaboration of local businesses and individuals who support the event through sponsorships and participation in the tournament. Over 65 volunteers were also on hand to help make the event a success.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cThe Golf Tournament is such a great way to top off our event season\u2014a day of fun and friendly competition that directly supports SMH and the Physicians Endowment Fund,\u201d said Healthcare Foundation President Stacey Corley. \u201cWe\u2019re incredibly grateful to our sponsors and volunteers whose generosity and dedication make this event such a success year after year.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>David Fouche of J2 Solutions served as tournament chair for the ninth year. The Golf Tournament\u2019s Golf Cart Sponsor was DeAngelis Diamond Construction.
