GovFlex is actively seeking government contractors, independent experts and 1099 freelance consultants with backgrounds supporting NIH programs and/or related support contracting requirements. CIO-SP4 is estimated to be a $40 Billion requirement covering 15 years (10 year base and up to 5 additional years of task order performance) of professional IT, health, biomedical and general services.

NIH projects for CIO-SP4 may include a wide range of general requirements. Specific details will be provided under each task order. Ten task areas constitute the technical scope of the contract:

  • Task Area 2: Chief Information Officer (CIO) Support
  • Task Area 3: Digital Media
  • Task Area 4: Outsourcing
  • Task Area 5: IT Operations and Maintenance
  • Task Area 6: Integration Services
  • Task Area 7: Cyber Security
  • Task Area 8: Digital Government and Cloud Services
  • Task Area 9: Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Task Area 10: Software Development

NIH has issued a draft RFP with a request for comments due by May 15, 2020.  Now is the time to do the necessary advance work, analyze alternatives, seek the advice of the best talent and build teams in advance of a projected official solicitation slated for release in December, 2020.
